As an Licensed Professional Counselor, I offer a counseling approach designed to suit the needs of each individual. I have experience working with adults, children, groups, and couples from various backgrounds and ages. I have a deep desire and commitment for walking with others as they journey through the challenges of life, the losses and disappointments as well as the changing seasons of life. I believe in meeting each individual where they are using a strength based approach. Each person participates in their own treatment guided by a treatment plan with goals and target dates. I firmly believe a strong trusting therapeutic relationship facilitates change. I adhere to HIPPA guidelines and strongly maintain an individual's right to privacy as well as necessity of ongoing assessment of a individual's needs.
There are times when life can seem to be overwhelming. As you deal with raising a family, caring for aging parents, dealing with losses, and managing a career you can sometimes become lost in the journey known as life and not know how to deal with it. I can help you with your journey through the difficulties of life. Counseling can help you recover strengths and clarity of life, help you develop better ways of coping, and improving your relationships.
My professional interests include grief and bereavement, loss, boundaries, substance abuse, and family of origin issues. I also offer pre-marital counseling. I use an integrated approach based on the individuals and areas of need. My aim is to provide comfort, compassion, guidance, and hope for those who are experiencing the difficulties and insecurities of life. Through individual sessions, support groups, and other means there is a way to maneuver through one’s life’s difficulties.
I believe that the power of God can bring healing to our hearts and relationships.
What a wonderful thought it is that some of the best days of our lives haven't happened yet. - Anonymous
